Angela Campos was born December 9, 1983 in San Antonio,
Texas. She began performing with Las Alteñas in 2003 and is
co-musical director of the group.  This talented performer carries a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Texas State University and a master's degree in educational leadership & policy studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  Her desire for mariachi music clearly demonstrates all she does. Angela is currently teaching mariachi at McNair Middle School in Southwest ISD.

Cirilo Campos, was inspired by his passion for mariachi music and the experiences he had as a student learning about mariachi. At the age of 10 he began singing in the school elementary choir and later joined mariachi at Washington Irving Middle School, in SAISD. As a 6th grader, Campos was unable to join the school mariachi class due to his schedule.  A  warm heart and Campos' ambition for the art are what kept him focused.  Rolando San Miguel, Campos' mariachi teacher, made a commitment to work with him on a weekly basis, providing instruction after school in order to catch him up with the rest of the class.   This gesture is what drives Campos' teaching approach.  Extending the hand and taking the time to help build others around you became a core concept in his practice.

Campos is a professional musician and mariachi educator who has shared the stage with many artist like Aida Cuevas, Christian Castro, Pepe Aguilar, Alberto Angel "El Cuervo", and many others.  He has had great success as an educator, maintaining a prestigious mariachi program and continuing the tradition of excellence.  Campos holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Texas State University and a master's degree in educational leadership & policy studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio.   He is currently the musical director of Texas Finest All Female Mariachi Las Alteñas, member of Mariachi Los Caporales,  and a mariachi educator in San Antonio ISD.
